Tip 1: Eat Fresh Foods

 Relying on processed, packaged and fast food to satisfy our nutritional needs is not conducive to weight loss or good health. Many overweight people are not properly nourished due to a diet of empty calories.

 If your diet consists of salty, fatty or sugary foods then quiting cold turkey will not only make you look better, but you will feel better as well.

It may take more time and effort, but cooking from scratch with fresh ingredients is a great way to ensure that you are getting the healty food you need without the extra additives and empty fat and calories of fast foods. This doesn't mean that you have to eat like a rabbit or spend hours toiling away at the stove.

There are a number of healthy and filling recipes that make use of fresh ingredients that can be created in no time with proper planning ahead.

After eating a diet of fresh foods for a couple of weeks, you may even find that you no longer crave the foods you once ate.

 In fact, biting in to a sweet treat after avoiding them for so long may turn you off from ever eating one again! The sweet taste is no longer that appealing after you have become accustomed to a more healthy diet.

Tip #2: Exercise Regularly
It's no big surprise that you can burn fat and calories faster by getting fit. Even moderate regular exercise will increase your metabolism and help your body burn more calories and fat while at rest.

If you can't fit a full blown exercise routine in to your schedule, there are other ways to carve out some exercise throughout the day. Little things like always taking the stairs and not the elevator can make a huge difference over time. If it's possible, a brisk 15 minute walk every day is a great way to jump start your metabolism and promote fat loss.

Tip #3: Get Motivated
A lack of motivation can be damaging to your fat loss goals. Discouragement leads to falling back on old behaviors and fuels a vicious cycle of diet despair. Don't let it get to you! Get motivated to make this the time that you finally loose those inches for good and stick to it until you see results.

If you gain back a few pounds or last week's measurements are a bit snug, don't give up. Over the course of a month, its perfectly normal to see weight fluctuations even if you are on the right path. Stay motivated and focused and you will achieve anything.
